Role Description:
- The Financial Crimes Investigations Manager has oversight of audit and regulator exams and quality and timely issues remediation.
- This role serves as the primary point of coordination and guidance of responses to regulatory, and audit, exams and issues where International FCI is the supporting stakeholder or a key stakeholder.
- The position plays a critical role in assessing and recommending process improvement opportunities and driving optimal execution across end-to-end investigative processes.
- This role ensures the consistent quality of support activities, processes, and outputs by reinforcing effective review practices and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The Manager also serves as a subject matter specialist, influencing strategy-making and strategic direction to reduce risk and create robust, high-value investigative outcomes.
- The position provides strategic oversight and governance of Self-Identified Audit Issues (SIAIs), Audit Identified Issues (AIAIs), Risk Identified Audit Issues (RIAIs), regulatory commitments, mentor action plans and associated remediation activities.
- You will ensure timely, sustainable and well-governed responses to regulatory expectations while maintaining good relationships with internal stakeholders across Compliance, Audit, Risk, Legal, Enterprise Control Functions and regional Financial Intelligence Units
Responsibilities:
- Monitors the changes in regulations applicable to Global Financial Crimes, including advising business mentors, directing the appropriate areas to implement or amend policies, standards, procedures and/or processes to address regulatory requirements, and investigate the implementation plan as needed
- Conduct end-to-end process assessment to uncover inefficiencies and recommend improvements that enhance investigative outcomes.
- Reduce non-value-added processes and create robust, high-value investigation outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal structure and identify gaps or weaknesses.
- Provide subject matter knowledge to support the development of regulatory changes.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise business stakeholders on implications; ensure timely updates to policies, standards, and procedures.
- Oversee remediation of financial crimes-related compliance and operational risk issues.
- Assist in the preparation, coordination and execution of regulatory examinations and audits and assist as necessary with responses related to team responsibilities
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with Compliance, Legal, Regulatory Relations, Audit and Risk partners.
- Support preparation of documentation, evidence packages and guidance responses for regulators and internal review bodies.
- Escalate risks timely and appropriately. Develop solutions and deliver mitigating actions in support of risk reduction efforts
- Develop and maintain reports and routines to measure the effectiveness of the FCI Program and control environment
- Support execution strategies and efforts to address regulatory feedback
- Produce executive-level reporting on regulatory commitments, issue inventories and remediation status.

Skills that will help:
- Extensive experience within Financial Crimes, AML Investigations, Compliance, Operational Risk, Audit or Regulatory Management.
- ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent financial crime certification.
- Able to partner effectively within the team and across the organization to deliver needed results
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and stakeholders at once, prioritize workflow and deliver results contending priorities and time constraints
- Good organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize daily tasks with project work as well as ad hoc requests
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively convey multifaceted information to stakeholders
- Good evaluative skills
- Ability to work contending priorities, calmly within tight deadlines and escalate appropriately
- Able to develop and maintain good working relationships
- Self-starter, motivated and reliable; ability to work well and seamlessly within a team without a continuous high level of guidance
- Experience/knowledge of Global Compliance and Operational Risk and/or Global Financial Crime risk assessment programs
