Debt Capital Markets [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Launch loan placements on new and existing Real Estate assets through closing. Provide internal guidance to deal teams on market terms for specific deals including investment committee presentations. Analyze bids and make recommendations to portfolio management on financing. Drive transaction negotiation and documentation. Identify and mitigate risks and provide creative solutions based upon market terms and past deal experience. Partner with internal groups on debt processes including acquisitions, asset management, and financial. Cultivate and develop existing and new lender, broker, partner, legal, and other industry relationships to assist with deal flow and solidify market and product expertise. Participate in property inspections and market tours. Attend industry conferences including MBA, CREFC, NMHC, and ICSC RECON. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel for training, business meetings, client meetings, conferences, and site visits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Real Estate, Finance, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Debt Capital Markets, Investment and Development, Portfolio Management, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Debt Capital Markets, Investment and Development, Portfolio Management, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Underwriting real estate assets for both debt and equity ownership structures including scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling using Argus; Designing and developing interactive excel and PowerPoint reports with advanced functionalities including VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, dynamic dashboards, pivot tables, data analysis add-ins, and automation using VBA and VBScript; Performing data manipulation, structuring, and workflow design using programming languages including Python, with query optimization and integration with external data sources; Processing, analyzing, and visualizing data using advanced Excel functions including Index, Match, XMatch, Xlookups, Vlookups, Sumproduct, Sumifs, Subtotal, PMT, PPMT, Rate, Duration, Average, Sum, Unique, Pivot Tables, Iferror, Getpivotdata, Transpose, NPV, NPER, IRR, XIRR, MIRR, Data Tables, Goal Seek, and Data Validation; Creating data driven presentations in PowerPoint incorporating features including dynamic charts, custom templates, and automated content updates to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Job Location: 390 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel for training, business meetings, client meetings, conferences, and site visits.

Full-Time. Salary: $186,300 - $225,000 per year.
