The Managing Director, Investment Structuring is responsible for directing the execution of RGA's investment structuring strategy and managing structuring initiatives across global investment platforms. This role provides management oversight of structuring activities, serves as a primary contact for significant structuring matters.

What you will do

- Lead the execution of the investment structuring strategy across global platforms.
- Manage structuring priorities and activities to support business objectives.
- Lead complex structuring initiatives and transactions from concept through implementation.
- Serve as a primary contact for senior stakeholders on significant structuring opportunities and challenges.
- Provide management oversight of structuring analyses, recommendations, and implementation activities.
- Partner with Investment Solutions, Portfolio Management, and asset teams to identify structuring opportunities.
- Advise cross-functional teams across Finance, Treasury, Legal, Tax, Risk, and Actuarial functions.
- Oversee evaluation of capital, accounting, regulatory, tax, liquidity, and rating agency considerations.
- Manage key relationships with advisors, counterparties, and external stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives that enhance structuring capabilities, frameworks, governance, and operating effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Required:

- MBA graduate and 10+ years relevant work experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance related field with 15+ years relevant work experience

Preferred:

- Advanced degree (MBA, Master's, or equivalent) and/or relevant professional designation such as CFA preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing investment strategies aligned with portfolio, liability, and capital objectives.
- Strong network and experience managing relationships.
- Experience presenting to investment committees, executive leadership, and boards.
- Insurance company or institutional asset owner experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities

- Proven ability to lead, direct, and manage teams in a complex investment environment.
- Strong knowledge of investment structuring and capital optimization
- Ability to create and implement investment strategies that align with portfolio and business objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing external relationships, negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investment decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to provide effective management oversight of investment risk, governance, and portfolio performance.
- Strong collaboration and partnership skills with senior stakeholders across investment and corporate functions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interacting with investment committees and senior leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality execution and results.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements, process enhancements, and organizational effectiveness.

Compensation Range:
$215,150.00 - $320,730.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
