Jack Laurie Group is seeking a motivated, competitive, and driven individual to join our team as an Associate Project Manager.

This role is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in commercial construction project management. You will work directly alongside an experienced Project Manager while gaining hands-on experience in estimating, bidding, project execution, customer management, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination across multiple trades.

During your first 6–12 months, you will follow a structured development path designed to prepare you to take ownership of your own projects and customer relationships.

Our goal is simple: develop the next generation of Project Managers who can successfully manage their own projects, customers, and book of business.

What You'll Do

- Work alongside an experienced Project Manager and learn all aspects of commercial construction project management.
- Assist with bidding, estimating, takeoffs, and proposal preparation.
- Build relationships with customers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Participate in project meetings and jobsite visits.
- Coordinate project schedules and communicate with multiple trades.
- Assist with project documentation, costs, change orders, and customer communications.
- Help develop solutions to project challenges while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
- Learn the financial side of project management, including job costing, profitability, forecasting, and project performance.
- Develop the skills and experience necessary to independently manage projects and customer relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

- Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in commercial construction, estimating, project coordination, field supervision, or operations.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to take ownership and drive results.
- Military leadership experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year

Starting compensation will be based on overall experience, construction knowledge, and industry exposure.

Career Path

The Associate Project Manager position is designed as a development role, not a permanent assistant position.

Successful candidates will spend approximately 6–12 months working alongside an experienced Project Manager, developing the technical, financial, customer-facing, and leadership skills needed to manage projects independently.

As you demonstrate your ability to successfully manage projects, customers, budgets, schedules, and relationships, the goal is to transition you into a Project Manager position with responsibility for your own projects, customers, and book of business.
