What You’ll Be Part Of

As a Foundation Engineer, , you will support the design, development, testing, and delivery of complex software features across IVI and Cockpit domains. You will collaborate closely with Domain Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and cross-functional engineering teams on architecture, planning, development, and integration activities. This role is suited to someone who values software quality, structured engineering processes, technical collaboration, and committed delivery.

How You’ll Make An Impact

- Design, develop, unit test, and document assigned complex software features, delivering high-quality results within committed timelines.
- Improve code quality and contribute to bug-prevention initiatives while complying with HARMAN processes.
- Follow Agile development practices and adhere to defined ASPICE process guidelines throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Domain Managers and Subject Matter Experts on software architecture, planning, and feature delivery.
- Guide team members in low-level design, development, and test-case engineering through training, reviews, and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate across IVI and Cockpit domains to support high-level design for complex domain features.
- Conduct pre-integration testing and verification for assigned functional areas while providing timely updates on software-development progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

What Makes You A Strong Fit

- Ability to design, develop, unit test, and document complex software features.
- Understanding of software quality practices, coding standards, and bug-prevention methods.
- Working knowledge of Agile software development practices and ASPICE process guidelines.
- Ability to contribute to low-level and high-level software design activities.
- Experience supporting software testing, verification, and pre-integration activities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with Domain Managers, Subject Matter Experts, engineering teams, and stakeholders.
- Ability to guide team members through technical training, reviews, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.
- We see AI as an important part of how work gets done. While tools may vary, a baseline familiarity with using AI to support efficiency, problem-solving, and quality is expected.
