Job Summary

The Houseperson plays a key role in the overall success of the hotel by meeting or exceeding guest expectations for public area cleanliness and by assisting in the delivery of guest service. The Houseperson ensures guest satisfaction through public area cleanliness and attentiveness to guests' needs.

What You'll Do

Including but not limited to:

- Display hospitality, professionalism, and respect toward guests, vendors, and co-workers at all times

- Comply with Prime Hospitality's Company Standards of Service and Brand Standards

- Complete departmental and Brand standards training as assigned

- Maintain a clean, neat appearance, including a complete uniform and name tag at all times

- Clean furniture, elevators, glass, planters, and other surfaces in public areas such as the lobby, pool, and public restrooms

- Sweep and vacuum floors, hallways, and stairwells; spot clean walls, carpets, and light fixtures

- Maintain, clean, and store housekeeping equipment and carts; empty vacuum bags as needed

- Remove trash and dirty linens from housekeeping carts and pick up trash from parking lot and garden areas

- Replenish storeroom supplies, rotate linens, and maintain shelf organization; notify supervisor of shortages

- Report maintenance problems and complete work repair orders

- Turn in articles left in rooms to management for Lost and Found handling

- Deliver special request items, such as cribs, to guest rooms

- Maintain safe working conditions and security within the department and hotel, following all safety and emergency procedures

- Maintain security of keys and hotel access as assigned

What You Bring

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- A strong work ethic with a detail-oriented, roll-up-the-sleeves approach

- Ability to deal with guests and associates in a friendly, positive manner, with empathy and proactive problem-solving

- Personal accountability and pride in results

- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching

- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
