Hiring for a Project Coordinator in Southbury

Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and driven Project Coordinator to support our Project Management and Operations teams on large-scale multifamily, student housing, senior living, and commercial construction projects. This individual will play a critical role in project administration, document control, reporting, invoicing, and coordination efforts to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and successfully. We value individuals with construction office experience who enjoy supporting multiple projects and growing within the construction industry. Responsibilities

- Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day administration of active construction projects.
- Track and manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and closeout documents.
- Coordinate project reporting and maintain accurate records across multiple projects.
- Assist with subcontractor communication and procurement activities.
- Review and process weekly project invoices and support billing activities.
- Assist with estimating support, project tracking, and cost reporting.
- Maintain project schedules and update project management systems as needed.
- Coordinate with field personnel to collect project updates and documentation.
- Support project startup and closeout processes.
- Organize and maintain electronic project files and document control systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Assist leadership with special projects and operational initiatives.

Essential Skills

- 2+ years of experience in a construction office environment.
- Background as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Project Engineer, Construction Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience reviewing project documentation and supporting project teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple active projects.
- High attention to detail and follow-through.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience in processing construction invoices, document control, administrative support, and project coordination.
- Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam.
- Experience with Smartsheet is a plus.
- Exposure to large-scale multifamily, student housing, hospitality, and wood-frame projects.

Work Environment The position is onsite in Southbury, where you will gain exposure to large-scale multifamily, student housing, hospitality, and wood-frame projects. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with nationally recognized general contractors. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Newtown, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $39.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
