About the Position

The Custodial and Grounds Technician is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of Game Aerospace's facilities and grounds. With nearly 100,000 square feet of facility space, there is always work to be done. This role encompasses a variety of tasks, including cleaning, landscaping, and minor maintenance, ensuring a pristine environment for employees, customers, and visitors. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to maintenance, and a commitment to upholding the companys high standards.

What you will do

Key Responsibilities include:

Custodial Duties:

- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.

- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.

- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.

- Respond to urgent cleaning and maintenance requests in a timely manner.

- Maintain custodial equipment and supplies, reporting any needs for repair or replacement.

Grounds Maintenance:

- Ensure that outdoor areas are safe and free of hazards, reporting any issues to the Operations Manager.

General Maintenance :

- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing and electrical work.

- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards within the facilities and grounds.

- Assist with event clean up as needed.

- Collaborate with other maintenance and facilities staff to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and equipment.

- Ability to operate lawn and landscaping equipment.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Experience:

- Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or grounds maintenance work.

- Experience with landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment.

- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in maintenance and custodial work.
