About this role

Job Purpose

The Digital & Omnichannel Marketing Specialist acts as key business partner to the GM and is responsible for supporting the development, deployment and continuous optimization of the affiliate omnichannel customer engagement strategy across the Rare Diseases portfolio, aligned with the regional OmCE strategy.

The role acts as the local omnichannel partner and orchestrator, working across Marketing, Sales, Medical, CRM and other relevant functions to translate business and customer needs into integrated customer engagement plans.

The Digital & Omnichannel Marketing Specialist leverages customer insights, CRM data and performance analytics to optimize customer journeys, channel mix, content, sequencing and interaction frequency, while driving adoption of omnichannel capabilities and ways of working across the affiliate.

Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and ethical guidelines for omnichannel communication in the pharmaceutical sector.

Key Responsibilities

Omnichannel strategy & Customer Engagement:

- Develop and manage the local OmCE roadmap, aligned with affiliate business priorities and the EMEA OmCE strategy and provides recommendation to GM for budget allocation.

- Identify and prioritize OmCE opportunities based on customer needs, product lifecycle, business impact, feasibility and scalability.

- Translate business and brand objectives into integrated customer engagement plans.

- Lead and support the design and optimization of customer journeys based on customer needs, preferences and insights.

- Ensure effective orchestration of face-to-face, remote, digital, event-based and third-party engagement.

- Partner with cross-functional teams on audience definition, segmentation, targeting and fit-for-purpose content across relevant channels.

- Act as the affiliate point of contact for EMEA / Global OmCE, contributing local insights, needs and best practices.

Execution, Data & Performance:

- Lead local strategy aligned with the GM and support the development and execution of local omnichannel, campaigns and digital initiatives with relevant cross-functional teams.

- Coordinate key digital and CRM-enabled engagement activities, including email, webinars and HCP platforms.

- Ensure local deployments leverage EMEA frameworks, guidelines and playbooks, adapting them where required to local business and customer needs.

- Use CRM, dashboards and analytics to monitor customer engagement, adoption and omnichannel performance.

- Track relevant KPIs and generate actionable recommendations to improve customer journeys, channel mix, targeting and content effectiveness.

- Continuously optimize activities based on performance data, customer insights and business outcomes.

- Translate business needs into clear requirements and solution proposals, balancing customer experience, business impact and feasibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Change Management:

- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Medical, MSL, CRM, Commercial Excellence, IT and other relevant functions to ensure a consistent customer engagement approach.

- Facilitate cross-functional alignment around customer objectives, journeys, content, channels and engagement priorities.

- Partner with Sales and field teams to embed omnichannel principles, customer insights and CRM-enabled engagement into account planning and customer interactions.

- Act as a change agent for Customer Engagement transformation within the affiliate.

- Train and coach local teams on omnichannel principles, tools, ways of working and regional guidelines.

- Drive adoption of new OmCE capabilities, processes and platforms.

- Share best practices and local learnings across the organization while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

- Ensures compliance with corporate and local standards and regulations.

Required Education

University degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy or related field.

Required Skills and Experience

- 3–5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry.

- Experience in omnichannel, multichannel, digital marketing, CRM, customer engagement, marketing or commercial excellence.

- Experience delivering cross-functional digital or customer engagement initiatives.

- Good understanding of the local healthcare environment; Rare Diseases experience is a plus.

Required Languages

Italian: Native proficiency

English: C1 level. Candidates' English language proficiency will be evaluated during the selection process.

Salary

Gross Annual Salary starting from: 40.000€
