What You'll Do

- Set up and operate HAAS CNC mills to produce precision components from alloy steel and specialty metals
- Review blueprints, select tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences based on job requirements
- Load programs and make routine G-code and M-code edits ; adjust tool and work offsets as needed
- Complete first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues independently
- Perform daily start-up, clean-up, and routine preventive maintenance

What You Bring

- 3-5 years of CNC machining experience with hands-on HAAS mill setup and operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Working knowledge of G-code and M-code (programming experience is a plus)
- Experience machining alloy steel
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to safety

- Competitive hourly rate based on experience (we pay for skill)
- $3,000 sign-on bonus (paid quarterly throughout the 1st year of employment)

Requirements

Competencies and Experience Needed:

- 3 – 5 years of CNC machining experience required
- Programming knowledge preferred
- Giddings & Lewis CNC 800 Control experience desired
- Fork-lift experience required.
- Good knowledge of and experience working with steel.
- Layout and light welding previous experience required.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints & BOM’s.
- Detail oriented, demonstrated high level of accuracy and to work safely.

Physical Requirements:

- Position requires physical capability which includes standing most of the time, some lifting up to 25 to 50 pounds, and pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching as needed.
- Standard shift is ten hours per day, with Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required.
