The GFE Network Operations & Support Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) networks and associated infrastructure. This role provides hands-on networking expertise to ensure GFE environments remain secure, reliable, available, and compliant with operational and mission requirements.The position works closely with network engineering, systems administration, cybersecurity, security operations, and mission stakeholders to maintain network connectivity and resolve infrastructure issues across GFE environments.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full- time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- An Active Secret Security Clearance and CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex problems in a production environment
- Minimum of a High School Diploma and 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with at least one virtualization platform
- Good understanding of Cisco and Juniper technologies
- Experience with LAN switching technologies such as VLANS, spanning tree, and ether-channel
- Capable of configuring network routing protocols such as Static OSPF & BGP
- Comfortable with Firewall routing, policy, and inspection
- Familiarity with configuring and managing NAT devices
- Experience with IP-Sec VPNs
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with various WAN technologies such as MPLS and Ethernet
Familiarity with networking requirements for high performance storage systems
Familiarity with multicast technologies and anycast routing
Experience with high speed Ethernet technologies (25GB, 40GB, & 100GB physical implementation)
Experience in base networking architecture support

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
