BRIEF DESCRIPTION

General Position Summary

Supports the Site Manager in supervising and coordinating the construction of water treatment systems while developing field leadership and construction management capabilities. Supports on-site activities to ensure that quality, schedule, and safety requirements established by the client and Kurita are consistently achieved.
Reviews construction drawings, BIM models, and project schedules, and collaborates with suppliers and subcontractors to support efficient project execution. Prepares work schedules, maintains construction records, and develops reports to identify and resolve issues while contributing to successful site management and continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions

Water Treatment System Construction Management

• Coordinate site facilities, safety and health equipment, and temporary installations in compliance with U.S. regulations, client requirements, and site rules while supporting the Site Manager in execution and continuous improvement activities.
• Support planning and coordination of deliveries for equipment, materials, and construction resources based on project requirements, site conditions, and construction priorities.
• Proactively identify, communicate, and help resolve construction issues with contractors, suppliers, and partner companies to maintain safe and efficient project execution.
• Regularly review field conditions, monitor progress against project schedules, and actively coordinate recovery actions when delays or conflicts are identified.
• Monitor construction activities in accordance with company standards and maintain accurate construction records, field documentation, and work progress reports.
• Utilize drawings, P&IDs, BIM models, and digital construction tools to verify installation quality, identify discrepancies, and support issue resolution in the field.
• Participate in construction management meetings and actively support communication among clients, contractors, project teams, and the Site Manager.
• Work Location: On-site at project locations, 5 days per week, with frequent field presence and direct interaction with construction activities required.
• Travel: Support project activities at job sites as required to meet project needs and support professional development opportunities.

OTHER & MISCELLANEOUS

• Prepare weekly reports, progress updates, and supporting documentation for the Site Manager and project stakeholders.
• Seek continuous improvement opportunities by identifying safer, more efficient, and cost-effective construction practices.
• Support implementation of lessons learned and best practices to improve project execution and personal professional development.
• Perform special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Site Manager.
• Maintain high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism in all work activities.
• Identify, communicate, and escalate irregular issues, risks, and concerns to the Site Manager in a timely manner.
• Maintain effective communication with project teams, office personnel, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Comply with all company policies, client requirements, and site-specific procedures.
• Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while supporting site safety initiatives.
• Promptly report issues affecting schedules, milestones, safety, quality, manpower, or costs, and actively support development of corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Work Experience

• Experience in construction supervision, field coordination, installation management, or similar construction-related activities for industrial, commercial, utility, or water treatment projects.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• 3 or more years of relevant construction, field supervision, project coordination, or site execution experience. Candidates demonstrating strong leadership potential, self-motivation, and a commitment to continuous learning are encouraged to apply.

Tools & Equipment

• General office equipment including personal computers, printers, plotters, tablets, mobile devices, and network file sharing systems.
• Software: Windows OS; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Microsoft Project experience preferred. Familiarity with SharePoint, Smartsheet, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Autodesk Forma, BIM 360, or similar project collaboration platforms is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with field coordination tools, look-ahead schedules, digital reporting systems, construction tracking applications, and mobile site management tools is preferred.
• Ability to use engineering and construction management platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, BIM, ACC, Forma) to support field supervision and project execution. Drafting is not required, but candidates should be able to:
o View, interpret, and navigate drawings, models, schedules, and project documentation.
o Use digital tools to identify discrepancies, verify installation details, monitor progress, and support field issue resolution.
o Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and project teams while utilizing drawings, models, and project management platforms.
o Strong documentation, construction reporting, digital collaboration, and construction record management skills are preferred.

Certificates / Licenses

• Valid Driver’s License
• EIT (Engineer in Training) preferred, or demonstrated commitment to professional development.
• OSHA 30-Hour (Construction) required; OSHA 510 (Construction) preferred, or willingness to obtain after hire.
• EHS certifications such as ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) preferred.
• Specialized safety training (e.g., HAZWOPER, ESS, NFPA 70E, Fall Protection, or MEWP) preferred.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar construction management platforms is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work Environment

The work environment described herein reflects conditions typically encountered while performing the essential duties of this position. Work is performed primarily on active construction sites, with some office-based tasks as required. Employees may travel by car and/or plane to project sites and may be exposed to outdoor conditions (heat, cold, humidity), construction equipment, airborne particles, electrical hazards, and vibration. Work may extend beyond Arizona to other locations in the U.S., depending on project requirements and professional development opportunities. Employees may need to pass a background check and/or drug screening as required by Kurita and its clients.
