Job description

We are a local plumbing company seeking a reliable and experienced Septic Pump Truck Driver to join our team. As a Septic Pump Truck Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of our customers' septic systems by safely and efficiently pumping out the waste from their tanks.

Responsibilities:

- Operate a septic pump truck, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols

- Safely maneuver the truck in various conditions, including residential and commercial properties, tight spaces, and uneven terrain

- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and concerns, and provide exceptional customer service

- Use hand and power tools to access and inspect septic tanks, locate openings, and ensure proper function

- Inspect and maintain the truck and all equipment, reporting any issues to management

- Complete all necessary paperwork, including logbooks and service tickets, accurately and on time

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Participate in training and development programs, as needed

Requirements:

- Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement

- High school diploma or equivalent

- At least 2 years of experience in driving a septic pump truck or similar vehicle (preferred but not required)

- Excellent driving record and safety record

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, up to 50 pounds

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
