Position Summary
Shipping & Receiving (S&R) General Utility is responsible for supporting the movement, storage, and handling of materials, ingredients, and finished goods within the facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring inventory accuracy, product quality, and timely shipment and receipt of goods. The individual performs a variety of general labor and warehouse-related tasks in accordance with food safety standards and company policies.

Load and unload trailers, pallets, and containers using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
Accurately label, store, and stage raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping & receiving areas, warehouse, and storage locations.
Assist in cycle counts and inventory reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy.
Follow proper procedures for handling perishable, allergen, or hazardous items in compliance with food safety regulations.
Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or inventory concerns to supervisors.
Support production teams by transferring materials and supplies between departments as needed.
Adhere to safety guidelines and participate in safety training and initiatives.
This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.

Experience & Skills
0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Effective communication skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Forklift experience and/or certification is a plus.
Preferred Education
High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.
Work Environment
Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
Work conditions are typical of a food manufacturing facility.
This role does not require any domestic travel.
Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds
Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.
