IM & Uniforms Shift Supervisor

Position Summary:

Ensure professional maintenance and cleanliness of exterior and interior of property. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resorts ELITE company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.

2. Oversee job performance of Team Members to meet departmental standards. Ensure projects and daily assignments are completed accurately and in the most efficient manner.

3. Implement and enforce department and company policies and procedures on a daily basis.

4. Initiate, enforce, record, and follow up with Team Member corrective counseling.

5. Prioritize tasks according to staffing and facility needs by creating a daily task assignment for designated shift.

6. Maintain a safe environment internally and externally.

7. Conduct interviews for Internal Maintenance and Uniforms Team Member candidates, and participate in the training and coaching of Team Members as necessary.

8. Participate in Human Resource related activities including due process meetings and employment separations within the department, assisting other departments when requested.

9. Responsible for updating Team Member time sheets and making any required edits.

10. Anticipate business needs concerning contests, promotions, tournaments, and special events (e.g. stanchions, extra trash cans, maintenance, etc.)

11. Responsible for maintaining the Hazard Communication Standard for your area.

12. Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals.

13. Complete applicable paperwork and submit work orders.

14. Conduct hands-on departmental training of equipment, machinery, and cleaning procedures.

15. Patrol surface parking lots and parking garage several times during shift to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.

16. Be accountable for use and maintenance radios and keys.

17. Communicate with vendors to ensure all preventive maintenance and repairs are completed.

18. Verify and sign for delivery and service orders.

19. Follow up with Team Members regarding dry cleaning, alterations, and other needs.

20. Follow up on Uniforms and Internal Maintenance inventories.

21. Responsible for maintaining all equipment in the Uniforms Room such as sewing machines, washers, dryers, RFID heat seal machine, and garment bag conveyor.

22. Coordinate projects with all departments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Two (2) years of supervisory experience in the janitorial and/or housekeeping field is preferred.

2. Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment, chemicals, and maintenance procedures.

3. High school diploma or equivalent required.

4. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form, including the ability to respond directly to Guest concerns.

5. Computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, payroll and human resources software. Experience with HotSOS, JDEdwards, and Paycom is a plus.

6. Ability to multi-task and maintain composure.

7. Ability to motivate, develop, and direct Team Members.

8. Must be at least 21 years of age.

9. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:

1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.

2. Requires the ability to use and carry job related equipment.

3. Ability to working in dimly lit conditions and a noisy and smoky environment.

4. Have an eye for detail.

5. Requires the physical ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
