Join a fast‑paced Agile development program as a key Platform Engineer responsible for architecting, securing, and optimizing AWS GovCloud environments. This role requires a seasoned systems/software engineering professional with deep expertise in cloud architecture, automation, security compliance, and large‑scale operational planning. The position has significant strategic and technical impact and requires strong leadership, innovation, and executive‑level communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and optimize AWS GovCloud environments aligned with business and mission objectives.
• Design and implement operations planning to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support administrators in deploying and managing Infrastructure‑as‑a‑Service (IaaS) and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) solutions.
• Ensure the security and compliance of DoD systems, including implementation of NIST SP 800‑171 security controls, DISA STIGs, and DFARS 252.204‑7012 requirements.
• Architect and implement multi‑region disaster recovery strategies to ensure system resilience and continuity.

Job Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 10 years of systems/software engineering experience.
• Active Secret clearance (minimum).
• AWS certifications required.

An active "Secret" clearance is required to begin employment.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$114,600-$252,100
