Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join the Marsh Tech hub at Marsh. This role will be based in Cluj and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Senior Business Planning & Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing and producing management information reports, analysing benefits performance, and playing a key role in shaping budgets that align with Marsh Tech strategy and goals. Working with the Marsh Tech Leadership team, the ePMO, and the Finance Business team, this role will support and strengthen the technology budgeting and financial management processes.
We will count on you to:
- Produce project financial forecasts and measure performance against set budgets, identifying, tracking, and reporting key variances associated with programs being delivered.
- Produce financial analysis and financial models to support key findings and strategic goals in a timely manner.
- Create, structure, monitor, generate, analyze, and distribute periodic reports for Senior Management and other key stakeholders, and manage data and MI requests across Marsh Tech.
- Work with program teams to develop a detailed understanding of benefits profiles over the lifetime of programs and create dashboards to track and monitor benefits for relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare reporting materials for Executive Board reviews and steering committees using Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint, highlighting metrics that drive meaningful insights and support key business decisions.
- Manage the approval process for new SOWs and POs to help ensure projects do not overspend and remain within budget.
- Drive improvement and standardization to strengthen data quality and generate better data, MI, and analytics.
- Develop data and trend analysis of management information to support informed decision making by senior managers and leadership.
- Work with other operational teams to ensure processes are aligned and documented appropriately.
- Leverage tools to build data models, dashboards, and reporting automation.
- Work with stakeholders to promote correct use of systems and data collection processes in line with guidance.
- Communicate MI through various mediums to internal colleagues at all levels.
What you need to have:
- Understanding of a finance function and its processes, including reporting and monitoring, financial control, budgeting and forecasting, and benefits management and realisation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly complex environment and develop a strong understanding of strategic objectives and challenges.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes with limited direction, using sound judgment to make day-to-day decisions and seeking input when needed.
- Proven ability to understand, interpret, and implement financial data.
- Significant experience using Excel, backed by excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong data interrogation techniques and experience working with models and or complex spreadsheets.
- Strong data presentation skills and an ability to convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders, including executive-level stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work as a business partner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization.
- Experience required: BA or BS degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred.
- Minimum of 5 of experience in a consulting, financial, or highly analytical role.
