About this role
Description
XCM Global Studio is evolving how Amazon approaches creative content at scale. After a successful first year establishing foundational workflows and partnerships, we are now focused on making AI and technology the backbone of how we produce, scale, and deliver creative content across 30+ markets and a rapidly expanding partner ecosystem. We are looking for an AI & Workflow Automation Lead to own the strategy, systems, and standards that make Global Studio smarter, faster, and more consistent every quarter.
What makes this role unique:
This is a foundational, builder role. You will own the AI transformation roadmap for Global Studio, both developing and executing the team’s strategy to integrate AI into every facet of the studio’s capabilities. You will serve as the internal subject matter expert that leadership and stakeholder teams consult on AI creative strategy. Beyond strategy, you will redesign production pipelines such that format adaptation, copy localization, layout generation, and asset scaling are AI-first rather than human first.
Your mandate also spans Workflow Automation, deciding which workflows to automate, in what sequence, and with what tools. This means building and owning the technology infrastructure that holds it all together: including the platforms that our partners plug into and the knowledge systems that make institutional expertise scalable. As new partners join Global Studio's portfolio, you will onboard them onto our tech stack and protocols so the studio operates as one connected system.
This role is the primary mechanism through which Global Studio achieves step-change scale on flat headcount. If you believe AI and automation should transform the process and are not just tools to leverage, this is the role.
Key job responsibilities
AI Strategy and Execution:
- Own Global Studio's AI investment and implementation thesis, working closely with the XCM Brand Tech team to determine which tools to build, buy, or pilot, and defining the evaluation framework for new AI vendors and capabilities.
- Define where to apply AI/automation across production workflows, redesigning pipelines so that format adaptation, copy localization, layout generation, and asset scaling are AI-first.
- Track AI adoption metrics, measure time and cost savings per workflow, and report progress to leadership through a quarterly AI Capability Report.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on AI creative strategy, advising leadership and stakeholder teams on capability, readiness, and opportunity.
- Partner with the team to validate output quality and establish acceptance criteria that protect craft standards.
- Establish AI capability maturity as a standard criterion in agency evaluation and selection, shaping which partners enter the ecosystem.
Workflow Automation:
-Define, build, and maintain the technology infrastructure that is the backbone of Global Studio, including both internal and externally facing systems.
- Identify and automate high-volume, repetitive production tasks, sequencing which workflows to automate first based on time and cost impact. Design the automated pipelines that move work from brief to delivery, reducing manual handoffs.
- Onboard new agency partners onto Global Studio's tech stack and protocols. Build repeatable, click-and-deploy setup so new partners can be onboarded onto studio systems quickly and consistently.
- Consolidate fragmented tools and instances into a unified information architecture that keeps partner work discrete while rolling up to a single studio-wide view.
- Build and maintain the standardization layer (templates, tools, and information architecture) that allows multiple agencies to operate as one cohesive team.
- Automate an Agency Performance and Compliance Scorecard tracking workflow adherence, SLA performance, and AI adoption across all partners.
Studio Operations and Enablement
- Own the repository of SOPs, playbooks, and quality standards for the studio. Maintain the infrastructure that makes this institutional knowledge searchable and easy to access, incorporating AI agents so the right information surfaces on demand.
- Support the recurring mechanisms (such as QBRs) that keep the studio aligned and generate the learning loops that drive continuous improvement.
- Implement and manage technology platforms, including project management tools, digital asset management systems, and AI tooling.
- Design and deliver AI training and enablement programs for internal teams and agency partners, ensuring AI adoption is sustained, not just launched.
