Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Manager, Permitting to join our team and support the development and execution of permitting strategies for energy and LNG projects. This position will be responsible for managing regulatory and permitting applications, regulatory filings, supporting agency engagement, and ensuring permitting requirements are incorporated into project development and execution. The Manager, Permitting will work closely with Engineering, Legal, Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE), Construction, Operations, and the Engineering, Construction, & Procurement (EPC) Contractor teams to support timely and compliant project development.

Key Accountabilities:
- Identify applicable Federal, State, and Local permits, approvals, and studies required to support the development, construction, and operation of projects.
- Lead the development and execution of project-specific permitting strategies and plans aligned with project schedules, regulatory milestones, and business objectives.
- Coordinate the preparation, submittal, and management of permit applications, regulatory filings, agency correspondence, and supporting technical studies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory defensibility.
- Serve as a key point of contact with regulatory agencies and permitting authorities for assigned projects, coordinating communications, meetings, site visits, and responses to agency information requests.
- Track permit conditions, regulatory commitments, approval requirements, and agency requests, ensuring requirements are clearly communicated to applicable project teams.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Legal, HSE, Construction, Operations, and EPC Contractor teams to incorporate permitting requirements into project design, execution plans, construction activities, and operational procedures.
- Monitor permitting schedules, risks, and dependencies, proactively identifying potential risks and supporting the development of mitigation plans to minimize impacts to cost, schedule, or scope.
- Manage project teams through key development and regulatory milestones, including preparation for permit submissions, implementation plans, agency reviews, and approvals.
- Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and agency reviews related to permitting activities, including preparation of documentation and coordination of responses.
- Maintain accurate permitting records, schedules, databases, and status reports and provide regular updates to project leadership.

Qualifications

Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Natural Resources, Law, Regulatory Affairs, or a related discipline required. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in permitting, regulatory compliance, environmental, or related functions within the energy, LNG, oil & gas, or large-scale industrial infrastructure sectors.
- LNG experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading Federal, State, and Local permitting activities for complex capital projects, including coordination of permit applications, regulatory filings, agency interactions, and supporting technical studies.
- Experience coordinating multiple permitting activities and stakeholders within a project-driven environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local permitting and regulatory frameworks applicable to LNG and energy infrastructure projects, including environmental and operational permitting requirements.
- Working knowledge of FERC-regulated projects and associated permitting and environmental review processes relevant to LNG facilities and related infrastructure.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple permitting activities, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare regulatory documentation and communicate permitting requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, project-driven environment and effectively communicate permitting risks, issues, and status to project leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to proactively identify permitting requirements, risks, and potential schedule impacts.
