This is your chance to join the C&A team as a Senior Pattern Maker (m/f/d) in our Düsseldorf office, starting in March 2027!

Your responsibilities

- Lead the development and maintenance of basic, block, and key style patterns to ensure overall fit direction and technical integrity across collections

- Own the development and documentation of grading rules to ensure size consistency and scalability across product categories

- Define fit standards and lead fit development to ensure consistent and high-quality fit outcomes

- Oversee complex pattern construction and material-specific pattern solutions to ensure optimal quality and manufacturability

- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Design, Garment Technicians, and Merchants to resolve technical challenges and improve product outcomes

- Establish and evolve pattern-making standards, best practices, and technical guidelines to ensure efficiency and consistency

- Ensure technical standards and industry trends are continuously benchmarked to deliver best-in-class products

- Maintain ownership of pattern libraries, archives, and documentation to ensure accuracy, traceability, and long-term usability

- Provide technical leadership through mentoring and guidance to support team capability and quality delivery

What you bring

- Completed education as a patternmaker, e.g., Patternmaker Training School or a university degree with a focus on pattern making

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pattern making within retail, including basic pattern development, style adaptations, and pattern development across a wide range of product categories and materials

- Several years of experience in CAD pattern construction and developing new styles with comprehensive technical documentation, including style descriptions, construction details, sketches, pattern components, fusing instructions, and measurement and grading charts

- Good understanding of supply chain processes within the apparel industry

- Advanced English communication skills

- Strong problem-solving abilities combined with a structured and thorough approach to long-term responsibilities and project execution
