Field Technician Electronic Security

Our innovative and growing company is seeking candidates to join our team for a low voltage alarm/security technician! To join our team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications below.

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair alarm systems.

- Troubleshoot and configure access control and intrusion systems.

- Installing and repairing residential and commercial, CCTV, burglary, and fire alarm systems.

- Readjust equipment, repair, or replace equipment and test for operation.

- Ability to travel overnight for consecutive days as needed to repair, fix, install, and test equipment.

- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on systems.

- Run and terminate low voltage cable.

- Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions.

- Respond to customer service calls and perform scheduled maintenance calls.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in security installation, maintenance, or other related fields is beneficial but not required.

- Familiarity with hand and power tools.

- Ability to handle physical workload.

- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Be able to lift 50 pounds or more, climb ladders, pull wire.

- Able to read and interpret blueprints, architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents is preferred.

The starting wage in this ad is reflective of minimum wage -   Pay is commiserate with experience and will be discussed during the job offer phase.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $21.00 per hour

- On call rotation for weekends as needed

- Quincy, IL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

- Maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

- PERC Card (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (Preferred)
