Job Description
The Director, Acceptance Solutions Sales Executive leads the identification and engagement of prospect clients for Visa’s Acceptance Solutions, supporting strategic account planning and driving opportunities from qualification to close. This role is responsible for demonstrating product and service capabilities to clients, engaging technical resources as needed, and ensuring activation and revenue realization for sold solutions. The Director drives upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts, manages renewals, and focuses on net new clients or product-family-only clients, supporting the growth of Visa’s acceptance footprint.
The position oversees the development and execution of strategies to expand partnerships with global and regional ISVs and technology platforms, enabling them as payment enablers and distributors of Visa solutions. The Director leads key programs such as the Acquirer Acceleration Program, manages partner relationships, and collaborates with internal teams to deliver on business objectives, including revenue growth, customer success, and partner ecosystem development.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification and engagement of new clients and opportunities for Visa Acceptance Solutions, focusing on strategic account planning and pipeline development.
- Drive upselling, cross-selling, and renewals within assigned product families and existing accounts.
- Develop and execute strategies for expanding partnerships with ISVs, technology platforms, and acquirers across regions.
- Manage and lead key programs such as the Acquirer Acceleration Program, including structured engagement with account executives, country managers, and acquiring partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Product Development, Technical Sales Engineers, Account Management) to ensure delivery of solutions and achievement of revenue and growth targets.
- Oversee reporting, analysis, and communication of program performance, including pipeline tracking and partner performance metrics.
- Build and enhance positive working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, providing training and sharing knowledge as applicable.
- Negotiate and coordinate resources across teams to ensure delivery on commitments and contribute to process and procedure improvements.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales leadership, including regional team management and multi-market responsibility.
- Experience in client or partner-facing roles in the payment industry.
- Experience in working with technology solution providers and payment facilitators in card-not-present and card-present environments.
- Experience in managing key ISV and technology partnerships.
- Experience in driving upselling, cross-selling, and renewals within existing accounts.
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies and programs.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives.
- Experience in reporting, analysis, and communication of program performance.
- Experience in building and maintaining positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience using standard MS Office tools (e.g., MS Project, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience in people management as a first-line manager.
- Demonstrable experience of attaining/achieving target quotas for bookings and revenue attainment.
- Experience of deploying a sales methodology to accelerate deal closure through a value-based selling approach.
- Demonstrated ability to consult and work closely with client C-level executives to present Visa’s strategic vision and negotiate effectively.
- Experience in managing multiple internal stakeholders to deliver commercial goals.
