How you’ll make an impact in this role

- Strategic Alignment & Financial Management: Develop departmental goals aligned with organizational strategy, monitor budgets, manage contracts and vendor relations, and implement cost-containment and product standardization strategies.
- Sterilization Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Monitor health-system sterilization activities, oversee instrument distribution and loss reporting, and maintain SPD safety, security, and quality policies to meet regulatory standards.
- Operations & Administrative Oversight: Direct scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagement while traveling as needed to support health system operations.
- Staff Leadership & Engagement: Oversee performance management, foster staff satisfaction, resolve workplace conflicts, and drive team development.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

- One or more of the following required: Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences:

- Schedule Requirements: Candidates must be available for on-call coverage, including periodic evening and weekend shifts.
