Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for projects located in or around Reading, PA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Install, wire, test, and commission industrial electrical equipment and systems
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, PLC-related equipment, sensors, and control systems
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using drawings, schematics, meters, and diagnostic equipment
- Inspect electrical equipment and identify potential failures, hazards, and maintenance requirements
- Repair or replace breakers, contactors, relays, switches, wiring, and other electrical components
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Perform electrical testing, insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, and system inspections
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and plant improvement projects
- Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergency service needs to minimize downtime
- Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and production teams to resolve equipment issues
- Maintain electrical tools, test equipment, spare parts, and work areas in safe operating condition
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, standards, permits, and company procedures
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and all site-specific safety requirements
Requirements:
- Previous industrial electrical experience
- Experience troubleshooting motors, controls, VFDs, MCCs, PLC-related equipment, and industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance in an industrial environment
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and procedures
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
