Security Guard (Reserve Team) - Mission Critical Facility- Hiring Event

Securitas Canada is looking for professional and reliable Security Guards and Security Supervisors to join our team across a variety of client sites throughout the Greater Toronto area .

This posting is for multiple vacancies across the Greater Toronto Area.

Our Security Guards can work in a range of environments, and we are now looking for Security Guards to work in High Profile Data Centres across the Greater Toronto Area. We are looking for individuals with open availability to work morning shifts, afternoons, nights and weekends. Candidates with open availability to pick up shifts across the GTA is strongly preferred and will be prioritized.

Pay rate: $26.78-$29.99/hr for guards

$30.45/hr-$34.00/hr for supervisors

Site Vertical: Data Centre Security

Event Location: 235 Yorkland Blvd Suite 400, North York, ON M2J 4Y8

Date: Thursday Oct 1 2026

Time: 10AM-2PM

What You Will Do:

- Control access to the site and verify visitors, employees, contractors.
- Wand search and metal detection
- Control access to restricted areas within the facility.
- Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports
- Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures
- Enforce client and site-specific security policies
- Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors.
- Maintain a visible security presence
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned

What We Need from You:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- 3-4 years of security experience, preferably with high level security sites. Supervisors also require 3-4 years of security experience.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Strong observation and attention to detail
- Ability to complete written reports accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to sit and stand in a quiet environment.
- Be able to meet the reliability clearances for
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Previous security experience is an asset, but qualified candidates with a strong customer-service background are encouraged to apply for more experienced roles.
- Priority will be given to candidates with OPEN availability for days, afternoons, nights and weekend shifts and their own vehicle. Some sites are NOT accessible by transit.
