Electrical Estimator (HEE) (55879)

Hanley Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our estimating team. This role will primarily focus on data center electrical infrastructure projects, including Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), power infill projects, Medium Voltage (MV) systems, and electrical service: preventative maintenance / testing / troubleshooting / critical facility.

The Electrical Estimator will work closely with Business Development, Operations, Procurement, and Project Management teams to develop accurate and competitive project estimates and proposals. This position plays a key role in supporting customer requirements, maintaining proposal turnaround times, and ensuring successful project handoff upon award.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review project drawings, specifications, RFQs, and supporting documentation.

- Perform detailed electrical take-offs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.

- Prepare professional quotations and proposals in accordance with company standards.

- Manage RFQ intake, document control, scope reviews, and RFI processes.

- Develop conceptual budgets, BOMs, and budgetary pricing for customers.

- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the estimating process.

- Support negotiations with suppliers and customers as required.

- Track and maintain estimating files, proposal documentation, and sales pipeline activities.

- Provide technical expertise related to electrical distribution systems, MV infrastructure, EPMS, BMS, testing, and commissioning.

- Participate in project handoff activities to ensure a smooth transition to project execution teams.

- Ensure all deliverables comply with company quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

- Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal teams while supporting a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, electrical construction, project engineering, or a related field.

- Experience estimating commercial, industrial, or data center electrical projects.

- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and project delivery processes.

- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

- Knowledge of labor productivity, material pricing, subcontractor coordination, and project costing methodologies.

- Proficiency with estimating and business software including Accubid Anywhere, Bluebeam, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.

- Experience with EPMS, BMS, Medium Voltage systems, testing and commissioning, or critical power infrastructure preferred.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
