About this role

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Documentation Specialist to support quality assurance activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for reviewing and approving raw materials, coordinating laboratory testing, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with GMP, FDA, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality systems, laboratory processes, and regulatory documentation, along with a strong commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

- Inspect and approve incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Coordinate and perform raw material sampling and testing activities.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality policies.
- Coordinate laboratory testing for raw materials, environmental monitoring, food-contact surfaces, and finished products.
- Support investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA activities to address quality concerns.
- Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with quality, production, and laboratory teams to drive product quality and process improvements.

Qualifications

Required

- Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Documentation.
- Knowledge of CAPA processes and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
- Strong data entry and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory processes and testing environments.
- Understanding of FDA regulations, GMP requirements, and audit processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific field with 1+ year of GMP experience.
- OR Associate's degree in a scientific discipline with 3+ years of quality documentation experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Experience working in food, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing industries.

Work Environment

- Monday-Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Minimal overtime required.

- Strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, and product quality.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
