Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in supporting quality performance within the Electronics Manufacturing Factory, with primary responsibility for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing quality, inspection, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. This position is responsible for analyzing defects, identifying root causes, auditing manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout PCB production and assembly operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PCB manufacturing, electronics troubleshooting, and quality assurance electronics production environment. This role works closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to drive product quality improvements, improve yields, and resolve production-related quality concerns.

Key Responsibilities

- Support quality assurance activities for PCB manufacturing, assembly, and test operations.

- Inspect PCBs, components, and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.

- Analyze product defects and nonconformances to identify root causes and corrective actions.

- Troubleshoot PCB failures related to manufacturing processes, components, and test equipment.

- Assist in diagnosing nonconforming boards from production, assembly lines, and returned products.

- Support CAPA investigations, yield improvement initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.

- Maintain quality records, inspection data, and performance metrics.

- Identify, document, and disposition nonconforming materials.

- Perform process, workstation, product, and employee audits as required.

- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, and Production teams to resolve quality issues and support new product introductions.

- Provide quality-related training and feedback to production personnel.

- Promote compliance with all quality, safety, and EHS requirements.

Basic Requirements

- Technician III; Vocational training with 5+ years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of relevant experience.

- Technician IV; Vocational training with 8+ years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant experience

Selected candidate’s Job Level and Pay Grade will be determined based upon qualifications and experiences.

- Knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards manufacturing and electronics troubleshooting, including ability to use digital multi-meter (DMM) to make electrical measurements, is desirable.

- Knowledge of PCB defect analysis, soldering quality, component failures, and workmanship standards, preferred

- Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office and Windows operating system.

- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Ability to use measurement and inspection tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Pins, Gauges, Protractor, and Scale is desirable.

- Capable of frequent standing and walking and lifting up to 60 lbs (on occasion)

- Must have excellent attendance and safety record.

- Ability to work rotating shifts when asked.
