You Are

You are a highly motivated and experienced Applications Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technology. With at least 8 years of experience in design, verification, or applications, you bring a wealth of knowledge in ASIC Front-End or Back-End development. Your strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex technical challenges head-on.

You have a keen eye for detail and a high degree of self-motivation, driving you to excel in your work. Your exceptional verbal and written communication skills allow you to effectively collaborate with customers and internal teams. You have a proven ability to independently lead customer technical engagements, build trusted relationships with engineering teams, and guide customers through complex integration challenges.

You are excited about working with Synopsys' UCIe (Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express) IP and the latest industry specifications/applications on various market segments. You are ready to provide UCIe IP integration guidance to customers throughout their SoC flow and support silicon/system bring-up. Some travel is required for this role, and you are comfortable with that.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Understand IIP applications on customer-specific SoCs and systems.
- Keep abreast of the latest ASIC/SoC design flows and EDA tools.
- Provide expert guidance and support to configure and resolve IIP integration challenges including simulation, synthesis, floorplan, STA, DFT, silicon bring-up, and system integration.
- Lead customer integration reviews and major SoC milestones.
- Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of complex technical challenges.
- Partner with R&D teams to produce application notes and improve deployment methodologies.
- Build trusted relationships with customer engineering teams and influence technical implementation decisions.
- Mentor junior applications engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
- Recommend product improvements based on customer deployment experiences.
- Participate in R&D design reviews to align development with future customer needs.

- Improve deployment success through technical reviews, best practices, and methodology guidance.
- Influence product quality and usability through actionable customer feedback.
- Strengthen the Applications Engineering organization through mentoring and technical leadership.
- Contribute to long-term customer success as a trusted technical advisor.

What You’ll Need

- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Typically requires at least 8 years of design, verification, implementation, validation, or applications engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with ASIC Front-End or Back-End development.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead customer technical discussions and engagements.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with advanced technology processes (10nm/7nm/5nm/3nm), mixed-signal IP, or circuit design.
- Domain knowledge in Die-to-Die and PCIe/CXL protocols.
- Silicon and/or FPGA/hardware debug and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of advanced EDA tool products and expertise in P&R, Physical Verification, Signal Integrity, or Power Integrity.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of

You will be part of a dynamic team focused on integrating leading-edge Interface IP (IIP) into ASIC SoC/systems for next-generation products. Our team collaborates closely with customers to provide UCIe IP integration guidance and support throughout their SoC flow. We work on the latest industry specifications/applications and contribute to the continuous improvement of Synopsys' IIP products.
