About the Role
This is an early Account Executive seat at a pre-seed AI data company that supplies expert annotation, RL environments, evals, and clinician-anchored benchmarks to frontier and neo AI labs. You will report directly to the founder with no layers, and you will own lab relationships from first conversation through close and expansion.
What You'll Do
- Open conversations with research, post-training, and data teams at frontier and smaller neo AI labs.
- Scope client needs across expert annotation, RL environments, evals, and expert talent sourcing.
- Structure deals that range from cash-upfront contracts to larger, more complex agreements depending on the lab.
- Close new business and grow existing relationships over time.
- Operate in a founder-led, fast-moving environment where you help shape early sales process.
What We're Looking For
- Direct experience selling data products to AI labs, specifically annotation, RL environments, evals, or expert/human talent.
- A quota-carrying closer in a full-cycle Account Executive or equivalent B2B closing role.
- Existing relationships with research, post-training, or data teams at AI labs.
- Background at an AI data vendor or annotation platform is a strong signal and the most common profile that has succeeded in this role.
- Comfort working in an early-stage, founder-led company with ambiguity and a fast hiring pace.
- Exposure to healthcare or clinical data is a plus but not required.
- US work authorization valid for at least 24 more months; TN, F-1 OPT, STEM OPT, and H-1B transfers are welcome.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $160,000 to $200,000. OTE: up to $400,000 (variable equals base). Visa sponsorship is available for TN, F-1 OPT/STEM OPT, and H-1B transfers with at least 24 months of remaining authorization.
Location
Fully remote anywhere in the United States. Primary anchor city is Chicago, Illinois, though the team is distributed across the US.
