The selected candidate will own and deploy the Category Formulation for the assigned spend at a regional level, aiming to ensure supply at the best possible TCO.

The role is in Barcelona, belongs to the EU Procurement team and reports to the EU Procurement Senior Manager.

What You Will Do:

- Category Management of the portfolio under his/her responsibility, which includes Category Strategy Formulation and deployment as per the road map.
- Acts as business owner for his/her categories for a spend of $95M , autonomously defining and executing sourcing strategies. Goals include improving reliability, getting competitive pricing, seeking for technical and commercial opportunities, reducing complexity, shortening lead times and more. Responsible for directly leading negotiations with suppliers.
- Apply, as sourcing methodology, the Total Delivered Cost (TDC) process and enablers, from formulation to implementation, to build and reinforce a best-in-class supply that meets the company goals.
- Keep a global mindset, benchmarking regional strategies within the global sourcing team; leverages the Ecolab global scale to maximize benefits.
- Lead saving projects or other initiatives to achieve team targets. Collaborates across Supply Chain, SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment), and Commercial team to ensure action plans and project milestones are met.
- Develop business continuity plans and risk assessments. Investigate, develop, and drive actions to remedy supply disruptions and constraints. Effectively communicates updates to internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain expert knowledge of respective categories, competition, and innovations. Jointly work with the business to address questions and needs surrounding suppliers, markets, materials, and services.

Education and Professional Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field
- Academic qualification in Sourcing and/or Negotiation is preferred
- Advanced English level is a must; another European language is a plus
- 7-10 years of experience in International Sourcing
- Experience in Indirect Procurement in the following areas Professional and Support Services related to Commercial and Business Support functions Contingency Temporary Workers
- Subcontractors
- Finance and Business Consulting
- Marketing
- HR
- And many others

- Technical background and/or experience in manufacturing processes is preferred

- Proved Procurement framework experience (Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and SRM)
- Previous experience on managing a high-achieving team
- Strategic mindset and diligent execution
- Strong competencies in project management, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and ensure the successful completion of milestones
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking
- Adaptative negotiator with demonstrated experiences in different situations
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills that are critical in a team-driven, multi-functional environment
- Demonstrated business acumen, competitive drive, results-oriented, and passionate about achievement
