Controls Designer

Description

The Controls Designer is responsible for the design and documentation of industrial control
panels in support of automation projects. This role focuses on producing accurate,
standards-compliant electrical designs using AutoCAD and EPLAN, coordinating with
internal teams and customers as required, and supporting projects through design, build,
and implementation phases. This position serves as a mid to senior level role within the Controls
Design department, focused on skill development and progression toward independent
technical ownership.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering or technical discipline with a minimum of two (2)
years of related experience.
A minimum of four (4) years of relevant job-related experience.
Working knowledge of programmable controllers, motor controllers, sensors, and
industrial instrumentation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Ability to interpret and implement system design standards and requirements.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and possess a valid Drivers License.
Experience with industrial control system design concepts, practices, and
procedures.
Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 and Pro Panel (version 2.9 or newer).
Exposure to 3D control panel layout and enclosure modeling.

This is a Contract position based out of Harrisburg, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
