Job Title: Construction Superintendent Job Description This Construction Superintendent role oversees day-to-day operations on commercial, clean room, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, and manufacturing construction projects. You will manage the full lifecycle of projects from purchase order through closeout, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards. The position requires strong field leadership, meticulous planning, and effective coordination of project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, with a particular emphasis on scheduling and operational control. Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring work aligns with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Oversee the entire implementation process from handover of work preparation through final delivery and project closeout.
- Provide operational management to the project team and subcontractors, ensuring efficient execution of all field activities.
- Lead and direct subcontractors, suppliers, and labor teams to promote seamless collaboration and a productive work environment.
- Plan and coordinate work activities for all projects so that tasks are executed according to defined quality criteria and project requirements.
- Monitor and manage project schedules with a strong emphasis on detailed planning, sequencing, and coordination to meet milestones and deadlines.
- Track and control project budgets, including financial monitoring and settlement of projects, to ensure adherence to cost targets.
- Manage change orders, including identification, documentation, pricing, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Handle RFIs, submittals, and take-offs, ensuring timely responses and accurate documentation to support ongoing construction activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure all work complies with industry standards and client expectations.
- Enforce safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular site safety inspections to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Lead safety and toolbox meetings to ensure site staff remain informed, trained, and compliant with safety protocols.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and addressing concerns.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the construction process to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.
- Identify potential issues or delays early and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
- Utilize project management software and digital tools, such as MS Project, Procore, and Sage, to manage schedules, documentation, and reporting.
- Coordinate ground-up construction, office fit-outs, and renovation projects ranging from approximately $500K to $20M, with a focus on projects in the $35M range.
- Support a project portfolio that includes a high volume of clean room work, as well as healthcare and manufacturing spaces.
- Ensure the project team remains qualified and prepared to perform work by providing guidance, feedback, and ongoing support.

Essential Skills

- Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction project management.
- 710+ years of experience delivering high-end projects, particularly in clean room, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor environments.
- Extensive experience with commercial construction, including ground-up projects, office fit-outs, and renovations.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the full project lifecycle from purchase order through completion.
- Proficiency in project scheduling with a strong emphasis on detailed planning and coordination.
- Hands-on experience managing change orders, RFIs, submittals, and take-offs.
- Proficiency with MS Project for scheduling and planning.
- Proficiency with Procore for construction project management and field coordination.
- Proficiency with Sage for project and cost management.
- Experience working with general contractors and managing subcontractors on commercial projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate diverse project teams.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations applicable to construction sites.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to anticipate challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with clients, project managers, and field teams.
- OSHA 30-hour certification.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
- Experience working on healthcare, manufacturing, clean room, and biopharma projects.

- Carpentry experience or understanding of carpentry trades in a commercial construction context.
- Additional industry certifications related to safety, construction management, or specialized environments.
- Commitment to professional development and willingness to participate in ongoing training.
- Ability to foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the project team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and compliance.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Wilton, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $160000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
