Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven SR Program Manager to lead the development, qualification, release, and deployment of next-generation 800G and 1.6T OSFP optical transceiver products for AI infrastructure, hyperscale cloud data centers, and high-performance networking applications.
The successful candidate will drive cross-functional hardware and software programs from concept through production, coordinating engineering, firmware, software, validation, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer-facing teams. This role requires strong technical program management expertise, experience managing complex product releases, and a solid understanding of optical networking technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Leadership
- Lead end-to-end program execution for 800G and 1.6T OSFP optical transceiver products from concept through volume production.
- Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams including optics, electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, validation, operations, quality, and supply chain.
- Manage program risks, dependencies, and critical path activities while ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
- Provide executive-level status reporting, program reviews, and escalation management.
- Establish and drive program governance processes, metrics, and best practices.
Hardware & Software Product Release Management
- Manage end-to-end hardware and software product release cycles for optical transceiver products.
- Coordinate release readiness activities across engineering, validation, manufacturing, operations, and customer support teams.
- Track feature readiness, bug resolution, firmware/software releases, qualification status, interoperability testing, and customer commitments.
- Drive release schedules and ensure alignment between hardware milestones and software/firmware deliverables.
- Lead release reviews and develop go-to-market and deployment readiness plans.
- Ensure product releases meet quality, reliability, performance, and customer requirements.
Optical Transceiver Product Development
- Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) programs for:
- 800G OSFP DR8, 2xDR4, FR4, and LR4 modules
- 1.6T OSFP and OSFP-XD optical transceivers
- PAM4-based high-speed optical interconnect solutions
- Drive engineering development through EVT, DVT, PVT, qualification, customer sampling, and production ramps.
- Coordinate design reviews, validation activities, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with strategic customers to ensure successful product qualification and deployment.
- Support technical reviews, roadmap discussions, and customer escalations.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align priorities and expectations.
- Act as the primary program interface between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management
- Drive manufacturing readiness and production ramp activities.
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and component vendors to ensure timely delivery of critical materials.
- Monitor supply chain risks, lead times, and capacity constraints.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and yield improvement programs.
- Ensure manufacturing quality and reliability objectives are achieved.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 8+ years of Program Management experience in optical networking, telecommunications, semiconductor, networking hardware, or data center infrastructure industries.
- Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional hardware development programs.
- Experience managing product lifecycles from concept through production.
- Strong project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across global organizations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing 800G and/or 1.6T optical transceiver product development programs.
- Deep understanding of OSFP and OSFP-XD architectures and high-speed optical interconnect technologies.
- Proven experience managing hardware and software product releases for networking, optical communications, semiconductor, or data center products.
- Experience coordinating firmware, software, and hardware development cycles within NPI and product lifecycle management processes.
- Strong knowledge of hyperscale cloud infrastructure and AI networking environments.
- Experience working directly with hyperscale customers including Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Google, or equivalent cloud service providers.
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
- MBA or Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred.
Salary Range
$165,000 - $185,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
