As a Director Data Platforms you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:

- Develop and lead Elara Caring’s enterprise data strategy and multiyear roadmap, aligning data, analytics, AI, and technology priorities with business goals.
- Lead enterprise data governance, including data quality, privacy, security, compliance, and risk management.
- Prioritize data and analytics investments based on strategic value, risk, and return on investment. Oversee major implementations and platform modernization efforts.
- Build and develop teams responsible for data, analytics, governance, and platform capabilities.
- Partner with clinical, operational, financial, and technology leaders to turn data into insights that support decisions and improve performance.
- Manage technology partners and vendors, including contracts, service expectations, and performance.
- Set measures of success, report progress to executive leadership, and drive continuous improvement.
- Follow Elara Caring’s policies, protect patient and staff information in accordance with HIPAA, and perform other duties as assigned..

What is Required?

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or related field required, Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or enterprise data management, with 5+ years leading data/platform teams or enterprise data initiatives required.
- 3+ years in healthcare or highly regulated environments, with experience across EHR/EMR, clinical, operational, financial, and payer data preferred.
- Proven experience designing, modernizing, and operating enterprise cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake, including SQL Server-to-cloud modernization.
- Experience building scalable batch and real-time data pipelines, data integration, data products, and governed datasets for analytics, BI, AI/ML, and self-service reporting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability, including HL7, FHIR, APIs, and integration with platforms such as Epic, Cerner, and Homecare Homebase.
- Experience with data governance, quality, metadata, lineage, security, HIPAA, PHI/PII, and regulatory compliance.
- TOGAF Certification – The Open Group, required.

- Snowflake SnowPro, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud data certification, CDMP, CPHIMS, or HL7 certification preferred.
- Additional certifications in data architecture, BI, or AI/ML are a plus..

- Meets all applicable agency policies and procedures related to health screening and required testing.
