Job Title: Digital Copywriter Job Description We are seeking a Digital Copywriter for a 34 month limited-term assignment to support high-volume e-commerce content development across our Aquatics Pet and Home & Garden businesses. This role involves hands-on writing and support for large-scale, complex e-commerce content optimization and creation initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong, detail-oriented writer who can quickly learn multiple brands, translate product information into clear and compelling consumer-facing copy, and manage a high volume of deliverables in a deadline-driven environment. This is a hybrid role with office days from Tuesday to Thursday and remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and maintain e-commerce product copy in accordance with retailer requirements, online data standards, and brand guidelines.
- Develop clear, compelling, and benefit-driven product titles, descriptions, bullets, and other product detail page content.
- Create best-in-class standard and Premium A+ / below-the-fold content for various retailer platforms.
- Develop concise, engaging copy for product gallery images and digital shelf assets.
- Partner with the Digital Shelf team to optimize existing product content and imagery.
- Collaborate with Design to develop e-commerce brand store content for retailer platforms including Amazon and Walmart.
- Incorporate relevant SEO and SEM keywords into product content while maintaining a natural, consumer-friendly experience.
- Translate product features, technical information, and approved claims into easy-to-understand consumer benefits.
- Adapt messaging across multiple brands while maintaining each brand's distinct voice, tone, and positioning.
- Ensure all copy is accurate, consistent, and compliant with internal Legal, Regulatory, and brand standards.
- Manage multiple projects and product SKUs simultaneously while meeting established timelines and deliverables.
- Support miscellaneous digital and brand copywriting needs as capacity allows.
- Conduct product, category, consumer, and competitive research to inform content development.
- Stay current on e-commerce best practices, digital content trends, and evolving retailer requirements.
- Monitor competitive activity and identify opportunities to strengthen digital product storytelling.
- Participate in project kickoffs, creative brainstorms, and content planning discussions.
- Collaborate with Copy, Design, Digital Shelf, Media, and other cross-functional partners throughout the content development process.
- Provide creative and strategic input to DCX and other teams as appropriate.
Essential Skills
- 1 year of digital copywriting experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of digital copywriting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) preferred
Work Environment This role follows a hybrid model with work from home on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office work from Tuesday to Thursday. The typical start time is 8:30 AM.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.38 - $48.38/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
