Parts Runner/Yard Helper

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Parts Runner/Yard Helper. We’re looking for candidates with a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Position Overview

The Parts Runner/Yard Helper plays a vital role in supporting Stepp’s daily operations by ensuring the safe transport and efficient yard maintenance. This versatile position requires adaptability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Essential Functions

- Parts Runner (Must be approved to drive)

- Maintain and clean the yard by removing waste and debris

- Install Stepp’s Tow Away signs as required.

- Wash trucks and trailers

- Create work orders in the shop

- Perform additional duties as assigned according to job needs.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift, crawl, pull, bend, reach, and climb as needed.

- Significant physical strength and stamina required.

- Frequent use of hands and the ability to sit for prolonged periods while maintaining alertness.

- Working in an outside environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Valid driver’s license required.

- High school diploma or GED.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Ability to adapt to changing needs and solve problems as they arise.

- Professional appearance and demeanor.

Job Type

- Full-time

Pay

- $15 - $16/hour

Schedule

- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Weekends may vary depending on need)
