The right person will be a highly trained service advisor that takes the position as a career with the potential for a 6-figure income. This person will always act with the highest level of integrity.

While you will have excellent support staff, we expect you to be aggressive at greeting the customers in the lane and welcoming them to our dealership.

Some of your duties will be:

Answer the phone and set appointments or answer questions the customer may have.

Greet the customer at their vehicle in a very timely manner.

Do a vehicle walk around and note any damage and visually needed items.

Share the Hunter information with the customer at time of write up. We have a drive thru Huner system that relays the tire and alignment information. It is integrated with our DMS

Use proper dispatching and priority information when creating the repair order. We use electronic dispatching.

Document the customer complaint very thoroughly.

Review all the multi-point information with the customer and sell the needed work.

Set realistic time expectations and keep the customer updated with the progress of their repairs. You cannot update or talk to the client enough.

Review the cause and correction lines that are entered by the technicians and adjust as necessary to ensure proper and legible documentation that is very accurate.

Coordinate with extended warranties to get the needed claims approved and collect payments.

Collect customers payment and close customer pay ROs.

Work closely with management to ensure that every customer leaves completely satisfied with out exception. TCOC. (Bonus points if you know what that means)

Active delivery the customer to the vehicle and thank them for their business.

As a service advisor that is well trained, you already know that these are just the basics of what is expected during your daily routine. There will be other needed tasks that pop up during the day.

SUMMARY

Initiates automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer rapport and records.

Responsibilities :

- Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.

- Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.

- Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.

- Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.

- Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.

- Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.

- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.

- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements :

- Previous experience as an automotive Service Advisor and a working knowledge of automobiles

- Customer service skill

- Sales experience

- Proficiency with computers and technology

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to customers

- Prior automobile sales experience

- Prior automobile technician experience
