Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Detailing Center and Vulcraft, located in Norfolk, Nebraska, is seeking candidates to join our 2027 Drafting/Modeling Summer Internship program. We are seeking current college students who would like an introduction to steel structures and steel detailing. This position pays a competitive wage and will start May 17, 2027 and extend through August 6, 2027.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current student working toward a degree in Structural or Architectural Drafting or a related field, on track to graduate Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Must have basic knowledge of construction practices
- CAD experience
- Microsoft Office Software experience
- Recommendation of Drafting Instructor is required
