Job Title: Sr. Interior Designer Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Interior Designer to creatively develop design concepts, produce architectural designs, and ensure project goals are met with high standards. The role involves collaboration with clients and team members to bring innovative solutions to life.
Responsibilities
- Develop and creatively design concepts for various clients and projects.
- Prepare and produce CAD drawings to document architectural designs.
- Interface with clients on design issues and develop architectural solutions.
- Review and modify production drawings and construction documents.
- Assist with master planning, site, and building planning using 2-D and 3-D modeling.
- Provide creative design direction during the conceptual and schematic phases.
- Perform design computations and compile data for architectural assignments.
- Review building codes and conduct zoning analyses for legal compliance.
- Assist in construction administration by reviewing shop drawings and answering RFIs.
- Prepare finished material sample boards and graphic presentations for clients.
- Coordinate with disciplines like Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical.
- Ensure timely and effective management and delivery of project drawings.
- Assist Project Managers and Architects with oversight on various projects.
- Mentor associates and staff on architectural design concepts.
- Stay current with graphic standards and building construction methods.
- Research construction materials and systems.
Essential Skills
- Project management expertise.
- Proficiency in Interior design and Revit.
- Experience in space planning and healthcare projects.
- Strong skills in construction documentation and interior architecture.
- Experience in project coordination and architecture drafting.
- 8-15 years of experience, with a focus on production and design details.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years of experience in managing multiple projects in architecture.
- Experience with site planning and zoning analysis.
- Construction administration experience.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayzata, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
