As a Digital Business Resiliency Specialist, you will be responsible for our client's critical initiatives in Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR).

Job Description

We are seeking a Digital Business Resiliency Specialist to lead critical initiatives in Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR). This is a full-time contract and is   hybrid .

This role is responsible for leading the adoption of a resiliency culture to help ensure the organization is protected from and able to absorb major threats to its operations. The selected individual will partner with Information Management teams and business stakeholders to ensure critical business functions can continue during disruptions and recover effectively following incidents. The Digital Business Resiliency Specialist  is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, and operational resilience programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate a resiliency mindset, strong analytical and project management capabilities, risk assessment expertise, and stakeholder engagement skills to strengthen organizational resilience and support regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and facilitate the development of comprehensive Business Impact Analyses across business units to identify critical functions, business and IT dependencies, Recovery Time Objectives, and Recovery Point Objectives
- Design, document, and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans aligned with corporate standards and industry best practices
- Partner with Disaster Recovery, Business Applications, Network Operations Center, Security Operations Center, and other teams to align continuity strategies with disaster recovery, infrastructure resilience, and cybersecurity protections
- Conduct risk assessments to identify mission critical systems, dependencies, operational vulnerabilities, single points of failure, and third-party vendor risks
- Develop recommendations and execution plans to reduce risk across the enterprise
- Coordinate and lead tabletop exercises, disaster recovery drills, and crisis simulations to validate response plans and evaluate readiness
- Create After Action Reports, document lessons learned, and track corrective actions through completion
- Integrate continuity strategies into daily operations, vendor agreements, and technology initiatives
- Develop and deliver resiliency training and awareness programs for employees and business teams
- Support crisis management activities during live disruptions by coordinating communications, providing data, and tracking response milestones
- Administer and optimize business continuity software tools
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data privacy requirements, and global standards including ISO 22301

What You’ll Need

Required:

- Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or a closely related field
- 6+ years of experience developing business resiliency frameworks, managing large scale exercises, or building disaster recovery strategies in complex operational environments
- 6+ years of experience in business process improvement and business impact analysis with demonstrated ability to integrate recovery requirements into enterprise operations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project timelines, facilitate meetings, communicate risks and issues, and maintain documentation and reporting
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical risk concepts to nontechnical business leaders
- Familiarity with business continuity management software such as Fusion Risk Management, Castellan, Everbridge, or ServiceNow BCM
- Certified Business Continuity Professional certification from DRI International
- Preferred:
- Management consulting experience
- Additional business continuity certifications such as CBCP, AMBCI, or CRISC
- Project Management Professional certification
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment

Physical Demands

- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$87-$92 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
