The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation and Quality, builds our leading-edge technology. GOPS partners with KLA's global supply base and design engineering teams to develop new products, working continuously to build better, faster and more cost-efficient solutions.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Design Engineer specializing in electrical engineering with a strong background in the design and manufacture of wire harnesses and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing fixtures to support production, writing procedures for various processes, and troubleshooting system-level challenges in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Skilled in troubleshooting, maintenance, and support for system-level challenges in a production environment.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledgeable and experienced in two or more of the following areas: HW setups, BIOS configuration, PC/server build and configuration.
- Communication protocols like RS232, Ethernet, and ECAT.
- PCB layout programs (Deep trace, ODRAC, Altium) and debugging tools (DVM, Megger insulation tester, network analyzer, oscilloscope).
- ICT fixture design and requirements for PCB board outsourcing.

- Design and Development: Design and develop fixtures to support production and write procedures for various processes.
- Failure Analysis: Conduct failure analysis reports and investigations.
- Process Development: Develop and write procedures for various processes.
- BOM Structuring: Experience in BOM structuring for multidisciplinary products, submitting, and managing engineering change orders.
- Vendor Management: Act as the technical authority to resolve escalations and communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage project timelines, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues efficiently.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 20% travel to support customers worldwide.

Technical Skills:

- Manufacturing Software: SAP ERP, Autodesk AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, OrCAD, AutoCAD, any harness design software, Cirris.
- Production Planning Tools: Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), MRP II, Kanban systems, Gantt charts.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Microsoft Excel (Advanced), SQL (Intermediate), Power BI (Intermediate), VBA Macros.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge or previous exposure to ISO 9001, Six Sigma (Green Belt), Lean Manufacturing principles, OSHA standards, EPA regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Total Rewards
Base Pay Range: $96,000.00 - $140,800.00 Annually
Primary Location: USA-NJ-Totowa-KLA
