Director, Strategic Pricing

The Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) team focuses on payments made and received by small and medium enterprises and large corporations, along with money movement transactions (e.g., P2P) via our Mastercard Move capabilities.
This role sits within the CNPF Global Pricing team and is responsible for helping shape and drive strategic initiatives related to the pricing and economics of Mastercard's Commercial and New Payment Flows business.
The role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-visibility, enterprise-level priorities, partnering with senior leaders across the organization to solve complex business challenges and influence strategic decision making.
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded problem solver who thrives in ambiguous environments, enjoys tackling complex business questions, and can translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations.
Role:
• Lead strategic projects focused on the pricing, economics, and long-term growth of CNPF products and services.
• Analyze market dynamics, competitive positioning, customer behaviors, and industry trends to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
• Structure and solve complex business problems using quantitative analysis, financial reasoning, and data-driven insights.
• Develop recommendations that influence product, commercial, and pricing strategies across the business.
• Build executive-level presentations, business cases, and strategic narratives to support decision making by senior leadership.
• Partner closely with product, engineering, finance, sales, and other business teams to drive alignment and execution.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders to advance strategic initiatives and deliver business outcomes.
• Work across regions and business units to ensure strategies align with Mastercard's broader objectives and long-term growth priorities.
All About You:
• Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, pricing strategy, economics, business transformation, or other highly analytical problem-solving environments.
• Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business challenges into actionable solutions.
• Outstanding analytical capabilities and comfort working with quantitative data, financial models, and business performance metrics.
• Ability to balance rigorous analysis with practical execution and stakeholder management.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions, teams, and seniority levels without direct authority.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience developing materials for executive audiences.
• Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, transaction banking, or related industries is preferred.
• Experience with pricing, commercial strategy, revenue optimization, or payment economics is a strong plus.
• Passion for solving challenging business problems, creating impact, and driving strategic change.
• Fluent in English.
• Availability to be in the office 3 times per week.
