**This is a Fixed-term contract that will end in December 2027**
The successful incumbent will work under the direction of the Principal, Real Estate. The Analyst is part of the broader Investments team and is primarily responsible for supporting team members across the Real Estate asset class as it pertains to the management of the Real Estate investment portfolio. The role will primarily support ongoing portfolio management and reporting, the asset management of select Canadian properties, and broader real estate portfolio initiatives. It may also include investment analysis and research related to new investment opportunities and potential dispositions.
As a Member of Our Team, You Will:
- Develop, generate, and collate analysis using various sources for investment and portfolio management, and to satisfy board and client reporting requirements.
- Support the ongoing development and enhancement of departmental applications, including report creation, systems review and implementations and process enhancements using AI.
- Ensure information in portfolio management applications and files is current, accurate, and readily accessible.
- Support asset monitoring throughout the investment lifecycle.
- Apply investment management knowledge to support the Real Estate team through research and analysis that informs strategies to improve the portfolio’s risk-return profile.
- Conduct research and analysis on a broad range of topics to support investment decision-making across the Real Estate asset class.
- Assist the Real Estate team in the due diligence process and preparation of investment reports and presentation materials.
- Apply sound investment and Real Estate specific knowledge and experience to build and analyze complex financial models.
What do you need to succeed?
- University degree in Business or a related discipline, CFA Charterholder/candidacy or AACI Designation/candidacy is an asset.
- One to two years of relevant work experience in real estate investing and/or investment banking is preferred.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, financial modeling, problem-solving and researching skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency of Microsoft Applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience with Argus Enterprise and related real estate tools is an asset.
- Ability to consistently deliver quality outputs, with an ability to work to tight deadlines and the capability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and ad-hoc requests simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and cultivate key partnerships to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and compelling manner and present information to internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, be proactive and take initiative to understand, support and implement goals and objectives.
The base salary range for this position is CAD $95,000.00 - $120,000.00. The placement within the range is determined by the range of market pay for the specific position, as well as the candidate's knowledge, skillset and experience relative to the requirements of the position and to internal peers.
