As a Welder , you’ll fabricate and repair a variety of metal components using established welding, brazing, soldering, and metal-forming processes. You’ll interpret drawings and welding specifications, operate specialized equipment, and support production and continuous improvement activities while following applicable safety requirements.

What you’ll do:

- Produce a variety of parts and components from shop drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding process specifications.
- Perform welding using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and resistance welding.
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment as required.
- Operate metal-shaping equipment, including brakes, shears, and metal straightening and bending machines.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities related to welding and production processes.
- Cross-train in complementary production skills to support operational requirements.
- Follow applicable safety requirements, company procedures, and established work instructions.
- Lift and handle materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds, as required, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Basic Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of welding experience, or successful completion of a welding apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding process specifications.
- Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted for approximately 25% of the average workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Desired Skills:

- Experience welding thin-gauge materials and exotic metals, including Inconel and Hastelloy.
- Trade certification in welding or a related field.
- Applicable welding certification(s) or qualification(s).
- Knowledge of tool design and metal fabrication methods and processes.
- Familiarity with company instructions, production processes, rework procedures, OEM manuals, and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information.
- Experience using production management systems and related internal control systems.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to maintain organized work practices.
