Position Overview
As an OR Terminal Cleaner, you will play a critical, front-line role in protecting patients and healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibility is the meticulous, top-to-bottom cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of operating rooms and medical equipment following surgical procedures. This vital role ensures that every surgical suite meets stringent industry safety protocols and remains completely sterile for the next critical procedure.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed terminal cleaning and multi-surface disinfection protocols in operating rooms, surgical suites, and surrounding medical spaces.
- Disinfect specialized medical equipment, surgical tables, lights, walls, floors, and high-touch surface areas adhering to strict infection-control standards.
- Safely manage, remove, and dispose of biohazardous materials, medical waste, and trash in accordance with OSHA and hospital safety procedures.
- Replenish essential hygiene and personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies.
- Inspect completed surgical rooms to ensure 100% compliance with sanitation and health regulations before releasing the room for surgery.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical team members and hospital staff to ensure efficient room turnaround times.
