Every year, billions of packages flow through Amazon's global fulfillment network. The physical configuration of that packaging directly dictates our fulfillment velocity, robotic handling efficiency, and cross-border marketplace compliance. Right now, our team owns one of the absolute largest, highest-leverage cost-reduction opportunities across the entire company: re-architecting upstream seller packaging to unlock Multi-Billion dollars of annual Cost to Serve (CTS) network savings entitlement.

We are looking for a strategic, highly technical Principal PMT to drive our AI-driven packaging optimization ecosystem. As the product leader of this domain, you will lead a cross-functional pod of senior software developers, data scientists, and robotics engineers to translate complex, multimodal logistics and physics telemetry into a single, automated, one-click optimization journey for our global selling partners.

Key job responsibilities
Own the Architecture & Vision: Drive the end-to-end product strategy, technical roadmap, and PRD/BRD definitions for the Seller-facing packaging platform. Turn abstract policy and engineering constraints into highly scalable, automated software features.

Lead Multi-Agent AI Integration: Partner with our Science pods to build and scale multimodal agentic systems that evaluates text metadata, 6-sided canonical imagery, and robotic manipulation video clips to drive SIPP (Ship in Product Packaging) adoption faster.

Drive Cross-Org Alignment: Build cross-org packaging strategy across Business and Tech with critical partner teams, including Fulfillment Tech & Robotics (FTR) and SCOTs.

Systemic Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee the technical integration of diverse optimization vectors, including the CRISP model for cube reduction, Box-Packing Recommendations (BPR) inside the inbound workflow, and a universal global labeling panel standard that automatically unlocks multi-marketplace compliance by default.

Scale the Future: Drive rapid go-to-market strategy for Sellers to adopt our recommendation. Unblock Sellers by creating manufacture-ready specifications and integration with service providers to drive zero-friction adoption.

A day in the life
Your day begins by tracking the real-world impact of your software, analyzing how thousands of international merchants use your platform to optimize their packaging and reduce shipping costs.In the morning, you solve high-ambiguity system challenges with senior engineers, designing intelligent conversational tools that translate complex supply chain rules into automated seller actions.In the afternoon, you collaborate with international teams to build a marketplace roadmap enabling two million merchants to effortlessly source sustainable packaging.You close by framing a long-term strategic narrative for executive leadership, directly lowering network costs and pioneering overbox-free e-commerce at scale.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- 10+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
