Position Overview
The Executive Director provides leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operations of a Long-Term Care residence, with responsibility for resident services, staff and program coordination, regulatory standards, and financial performance..
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of resident-focused services and initiatives that promote residents’ well-being and quality of life.
- Maintain a secure, respectful, and supportive environment for residents, employees, and visitors.
- Oversee effective processes for resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Establish positive working relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, service providers, and community partners.
- Address concerns raised by residents and families and ensure timely follow-up and appropriate resolution.
- Monitor operational performance and ensure departments and services function effectively.
- Support the implementation of policies, procedures, and standards across the residence.
- Promote collaboration and accountability among leadership and care teams.
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in Health or Social Services from a program of at least two years.
- Completed or currently enrolled in a Long-Term Care Residence Administration or Management program with a minimum of 100 instructional hours.
- At least 3 years of leadership, management, or supervisory experience within the healthcare or social services sector.
- Previous experience working in Long-Term Care operations or administration is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay : $105,000 - $125,000 a year (Depending on experience and assignment)
