# Job Description Summary
The Service Director will oversee the service operations within a designated geographic area (Pacific Northwest), ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and support for biomedical equipment within partnering customer sites. This role involves managing a team of Biomedical Technicians, coordinating service activities, and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction and the optimal performance of equipment.
The Service Director will lead a team of biomedical technicians who are located at strategic customer sites. The preferred candidate will be required to reside in the Pacific Northwest service area.
This is a remote role that requires the successful candidate to travel to customer sites up to 2 weeks a month or as business dictates.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact to the customer for timely and satisfactory resolution of concerns covering a wide variety of support services offered for assigned region, product, or coverage area
- Responsible for knowledge of assigned region, coverage area, or product lines, their associated configuration installations, and represents the most direct access to all appropriate internal functions to support the customer
- Establish and maintain contact to provide on-going technical and business support to assigned customers in designated geographic region or coverage area
- Role requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
- Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
- Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum 4 years of experience in the medical services industry; OR military education program (equivalent) and a minimum 4 years of experience in the medical services industry; OR an Associate’s degree and a minimum 6 years of experience in the medical services industry; OR a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 10 years of experience in the medical services industry.
- Leadership experience that includes leading technical teams.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Ability to work from home in a dedicated office space, free from distraction with a high-speed internet connection.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $108,000.00-$162,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
