Job Description:
The Regional Strategy Enablement Team Lead (D1) is accountable for regional translation, orchestration, and disciplined execution of Global HCC IM strategy.
This role ensures that global priorities are converted into coherent regional plans, decision flows, and execution governance, enabling Compliance to operate at scale while remaining close to the business.
The SET Lead operates as a senior regional integrator and decision enabler—not as a policy owner or execution manager—strengthening leadership effectiveness, improving risk‑aligned prioritization, and ensuring consistent delivery of the HCC strategy across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Strategy Enablement & Leadership Support
- Serve as the primary SET representative for the region, partnering closely with the Global SET Lead and Regional Sector Leads / Group Leaders.
- Translate global compliance strategy, governance, and priorities into clear regional execution roadmaps.
- Act as a strategic advisor to Regional Sector Lead(s) and Regional HCC leadership on prioritization, sequencing, and capacity trade ‑ offs.
- Prepare, structure, and support regional leadership forums to ensure timely, risk ‑ aligned decisions.
- Leads strategy translation and enablement at regional level; does not define global strategy.
Risk Management Leadership
- Act as the regional integrator of risk intelligence across markets, functions, and initiatives.
- Maintain a continuous view of regional risk posture, drawing from monitoring outputs, control performance, external signals, and business context.
- Identify systemic risks, cross ‑ market trends, and second ‑ order impacts that are not visible at local level.
- Frame risks in terms of business impact, control effectiveness, and decision implications—not just exposure.
- Escalate material or emerging risks through Global SET using structured, decision ‑ ready narratives.
- Owns how risk is seen, understood, and discussed at regional leadership level.
Decision ‑ Ready Insights & Risk Context
- Synthesize regional inputs (risk themes, performance data, monitoring trends, external intelligence) into concise, decision ‑ ready insights.
- Provide context, implications, and “so ‑ what” analysis to elevate discussions beyond raw data.
- Partner with Global SET and Data & Analytics to ensure regional insights are accurately represented in enterprise views.
- Support continuous risk assessment by identifying trends, interdependencies, and emerging issues at regional level.
- Owns regional insight narrative; escalates material risks and trends through Global SET.
Program Governance & Execution Discipline
- Provide regional oversight across compliance initiatives and the 10 hallmarks.
- Ensure initiatives are sequenced and governed to support risk‑based execution, not parallel overload.
- Monitor progress, dependencies, and delivery risk; escalate early where interventions are needed.
- Ensure reporting focuses on impact, outcomes, and risk movement, not activity tracking.
Continuous Improvement & Change Enablement
- Lead regional continuous improvement efforts aligned to global HCC transformation priorities.
- Anticipate downstream impacts of changes and initiatives before implementation.
- Challenge inconsistent or legacy practices while maintaining trust and engagement with regional teams.
- Support adoption of new ways of working through alignment, clarity, and governance.
- Drives sustained improvement through influence and structure, not authority over local operations.
Global Connectivity & Enterprise Alignment
- Represent the region in Global SET forums, sharing insights, risks, and lessons learned.
- Ensure regional execution remains aligned with enterprise standards and intent.
- Foster strong collaboration with Compliance Performance Centers to leverage specialized expertise, share best practices, and coordinate on complex compliance challenges across the region.
- Support cross ‑ regional alignment by identifying common themes, tensions, and opportunities for scale.
- Voice of the region into global discussion; global decisions remain owned at enterprise level.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or related field required; MBA, JD, or LLM preferred.
- 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or legal functions, including 5+ years in senior leadership within complex, multinational organizations.
- Strong expertise in compliance frameworks, due diligence, monitoring, operational risk management, and the use of compliance technology and analytics.
- Proven leader of multicultural teams with strong senior‑level stakeholder engagement and project delivery capabilities.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and accountability, aligned with C.E.O leadership principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights.
- Strategic, analytical, resilient, and adaptable mindset.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CCEP, CCEP‑I, CIA, CFE) strongly preferred.
- Fluent in English; additional regional languages a plus.
